One of my all time favorite books, filmed by the brilliant Spike Jonze and the trailer is using one of my favorite songs of the recent past.
And today at the White House Easter Egg Roll our new president read from this very same book to a group of kids on the White House Lawn and it was good.
I actually discovered Maurice Sendak's wonderful books after taking a children's lit class in college. I asked for Where The Wild Things Are for a college graduation present.
One of my own kids is graduating from college in a very short time. Anyone have any good suggestions for books for her ?

I have always liked Arcade Fire until I saw them perform live then I decided I LOVED them. :) This is my 2nd fave AF song after Wake Up...

Girl Land- yup. I got to see them live on the Neon Bible - my daughter and her boyfriend took my husband and me. I actually ( blushes) wrote them a fan letter afterwards! I wonder if I was the oldest person they have ever gotten a fan letter from! They are amazing and delightful.
